Award-winning author, trainer, instructor and podcaster Lisa Wysocky announces a new episode of the Celebs with Horses podcast on the Horse Radio Network, now part of the Equine Network family.

In this episode, Lisa talks with legendary soccer superstar Michelle Akers. Named the greatest women’s soccer player of al time, a neglected and abused mare helped east Michelle’s transition out of international soccer competition, and into that of running a horse rescue. In this episode, listeners will learn:

  • The amazing connection Michelle developed with a neglected and abused mare
  • Michelle’s Olympic-level plan for achieving goals
  • What motivation got her through dozens of surgeries
  • Why she is envious of her horses

“Michelle’s focus and drive to become a gold medal Olympian, definitely helped her move into the hard work involved of running a horse rescue,” said Wysocky. “Her passion about and commitment to everything she does is so inspiring, and was very motivating to me––and hopefully to the listeners as well.”
