AHP Student Award Winner Reagan Smollen Joins EQUUS Television Network Team

The EQUUS Television Network is proud to announce the addition of 2022 AHP Equine Media Student Award winner Reagan Smollen to the EQUUS Team. Reagan was chosen out of a number of candidates who entered the annual American Horse Publications contest.

Reagan, a native of Powell, Ohio will be graduating in 2022 from West Virginia University. Reagan, who is on the WVU IHSA equestrian team, is both an English and Western rider.  Her skills make her a great candidate for a career in the equine media industry.

Inspired by her knowledge, experience and love of horses, the EQUUS TV team felt she would be a perfect candidate and offered her an internship.

Reagan joins the globe-trotting staff of the EQUUS Television Network in conjunction with coverage of the FEI World Championships in Herning Denmark. She is working with the EQUUS production team to provide up to the minute coverage of the event on both the TV channel and its extensive social media coverage.

“I am very happy to have the opportunity to be an intern for EQUUS Television Network through my AHP Equine Media Student Award. I am looking forward to this experience to be able to explore all aspects of equine media production,” Reagan commented.

“We are extremely proud to have a young professional of Reagan’s caliber joining our team at EQUUS,” said John Barlett, EQUUS Television Network Chairman and CEO. “From our first meetings with Reagan, we were impressed with her passion, acumen, and desire to immerse herself in the equestrian realm and couldn’t be happier with her addition to our world-class staff of equestrian professionals.”
