Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will focus on supporting the Marketing Manager in the areas of new product development, digital and social media marketing. This role is expected to provide fact and insight-based solutions that drive growth for the BUCKEYE™ Nutrition brand. They will work with research agencies, marketing, and new product development teams to ensure consumer insights are followed when creating a launch plan for new products, all of which will work towards making a better world for horses.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Shopper and/or Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing,
  • Agency Experience preferred.
  • Previous social media experience
  • Equine experience needed.
  • Strong creative thinker with the ability to develop and activate unique solutions that support the overall strategy.
  • Strong command skills with the ability to present and influence at various levels across the organization both internally and with key customers.
  • Familiarity with customer strategies and differences amongst channels

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and manage digital and social media strategies to drive business objectives.
  • Manage all social media platforms, and plan, create and manage a range of content across multiple channels to build brand awareness.
  • Design, create and deploy regional and national Facebook advertising of branded content, product features, dealer/distributor promotions and informational materials supporting our position as a leader in horse nutrition.
  • Maintain and update the organization website, including production of web content in a manner that is appealing to targeted audience, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, and encouraging conversion.
  • Develop external communications to support overall business objectives and position BUCKEYE Nutrition as a leader on key topics in horse care and nutrition.
  • Manage the media outreach with national, trade, regional and local media, and stakeholders to drive increased visibility of BUCKEYE Nutrition in the US and Canada, including press releases and business announcements as necessary.
  • Work together with Partner Agencies to drive digital and social strategy.
  • Manage sponsored rider program, including social media calendar, BUCKEYE Nutrition branding, engagement, and communication to ensure the optimal ROI
  • Coordination of events such as trade shows or conferences
  • Develop customer-specific Shopper Marketing strategies, working with brand / customer marketing / sales to align on annual planning objectives.
  • Work with the marketing team to support sales team requests, including ads creation and other branded materials.
  • Supporting the demand team in multiple aspects
