Request Grant Funding from The Foundation for the Horse by May 25

The Foundation for the Horse is accepting applications for funding from nonprofit organizations that share its mission to improve the welfare of horses. The application deadline is May 25.

The Foundation’s priorities are to fund veterinary student scholarships and educational programs that improve the care of horses; exceptional equine research in pursuit of new treatments and cures; at-risk equine programs such as working equid welfare, disaster preparedness training and relief efforts for horses in need, and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of horses at risk or in transition.

The Foundation annually supports equine organizations, universities, and others that develop and implement programs that improve equine welfare. Priority emphasis is given to applications with the most impact on the welfare of the horse on a national and international scope, and those affecting multiple horses or in need of emergency funding. Funds are not provided to for-profit individuals or groups; rescue, retirement, or retraining facilities; or unsolicited equine research requests.

Application instructions, requirements, and selection criteria are available on The Foundation’s website at www.foundationforthehorse.org/grants.
