Volunteer at the 2023 Thoroughbred Makeover

Want to give back to the Thoroughbred ex-racehorse and be part of what’s been called “the happiest horse show on earth”? Sign-ups are now open for volunteers for the Retired Racehorse Project’s 2023 Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium, presented by Thoroughbred Charities of America, on October 11-14, and there are plenty of shifts available for a wide variety of activities.

Whether you have years of horse show experience or are new to the competitive world, have been a lifelong equestrian or have never thrown a leg over a horse in your life, there are volunteer jobs for all. Select the day, time and task that suits best via the RRP’s volunteer portal.

All volunteers receive a t-shirt, hat, lunch for all-day shifts, and the endless gratitude of the RRP and all competitors! Learn more and get started choosing your volunteer shifts at TheRRP.org/volunteerism.

About the Retired Racehorse Project: The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization working to increase demand for off-track Thoroughbreds in the equestrian world. In addition to producing the Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium, the world’s largest and most lucrative retraining competition for recently-retired racehorses, the organization also publishes Off-Track Thoroughbred Magazine, produces the Master Class retraining clinic series, and presents programming at major horse expos and events around the country. The RRP maintains an educational library of content to empower more equestrians to ride a Thoroughbred.
